She develops a bond with Ellie, which deepens when Ellie speaks up for the first time to save her. But as Natalie starts settling in, new troubles arise. Ellie is bullied at school, and Natalie gets tangled in conflicts involving both her old and new families. She vows to protect the hard-won love and family she's built.
